San Miguel de Allende is known for attracting artists from all over the world. This cultural center, part of the Fine Arts Institute (Instituto de Bellas Artes), has and continues to be one of the central hubs for artistic and cultural activity in the region. As is to be expected, this colonial palace has an ample central patio and gorgeous fountain. You can’t miss a visit to the mural by master painter David Alfaro Siqueiros, as well as the various exhibits located in the ground-floor galleries.
